What is an Employee Assistance Programme?

An Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is a professional independent service that offers support, guidance and counselling for a wide range of issues and concerns you might have. The service is confidential, available 24/7/365 and free to you as an employee. This free and confidential service can also be utilised by your immediate family members*. 

CNC’s Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) has officially transitioned from Health Assured to PAM Wellness. To learn how this change may affect you, please visit the Intranet (Occupational Health area).

*Immediate family members are defined as your spouse and children aged 16-24 in full time education and residing at the same household addresss.

How PAM Wellness can support you

You can contact the EAP for any personal, work or health concerns you have. The EAP provides information, signposting, guidance and counselling on:

  • Personal matters such as relationship problems, help with family issues, loneliness, bereavement and loss

  • Legal matters such as consumer rights, property, landlord/tenant, family and motoring law

  • Money matters, including managing creditors, budgeting and debt management plans

  • Health and wellbeing information on lifestyle issues such as diet, exercise, sleep, health and medical concerns

Available services

EAP service – free for all:

  • In the moment confidential support or guidance regarding any personal or work-related issues

  • Short-term counselling delivered by telephone, video (via a secure video link) or face-to-face.

  • Computerised CBT and other mental health programmes

  • Referral to specialised support for example; debt, legal, bereavement, relationship support and trauma

  • PAM Assist Wellbeing App – online and app health and wellbeing platform

PAM ASSIST Wellbeing App

PAM Wellness offers health and wellbeing support through online resources available on the app, which includes:

  • Live Chat (Connect with Expert Support): Talk to counsellors to get mental health support, when you need it most

  • Move Medicine: Access the in app virtual gym to release happy hormones and vitality

  • Stepping Stones: Goal setting and habit tracking to achieve progress

How to sign up to the PAM ASSIST wellbeing app

  1. Go tpam-assist.co.uk

  2. Insert your organisational code: This is available on the CNC Intranet

  3. Create your login account details using your email address and a secure password

  4. Validate your account via the notification email

  5. Login using the email address and password created when registering
