The Civil Nuclear Police Federation (CNPF) is the staff association for police constables, sergeants, inspectors and chief inspectors in the Civil Nuclear Constabulary. CNPF represents some 1350 officers in the UK in all matters affecting their welfare and efficiency.
This work is done by CEO Colin Longstaff, Chair Darren Adams, and Vice Chair Ian Muir alongside a team of volunteer Federation reps based at each of the UK's nuclear sites. If you have any questions about the work of the Federation or suggestions to improve the services we offer, please contact us.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about the Federation.
The Police Federation is a staff association for police constables, sergeants, inspectors and chief inspectors.
Reps, who have been elected by their peers and have received training on police regulations, ensure you are properly represented should you face an issue at work. This could be about knowing your rights and entitlements, but it also could mean getting you the right welfare support. Reps can advise and represent you during performance and misconduct proceedings and guide you to apply for legal assistance, if needed.
You can apply to join the Federation during your initial course or on transfer from another force. Serving officers who are not members can apply through their local branch.
