Civil Nuclear Police Federation (CNPF) is the staff association for police Constables, Sergeants, Inspectors and Chief Inspectors in the Civil Nuclear Constabulary. CNPF represents some 1300 officers, who are located throughout the UK, in all matters affecting their welfare and efficiency.

Amongst the issues the National Executive officers negotiate on are:

  • Pay

  • Allowances

  • Hours of duty

  • Annual leave

  • Pensions

We are consulted on regulations around training, promotion, discipline and police duties. Through these negotiations and consultation procedures, the Federation seeks to influence both pay and other benefits as well as the development of professional standards.

We maintain close links with the staff-side members via the Joint Consultative Council and with other Police Federations across the UK. This enables us to be current on all that is happening nationally regarding pay and allowances. We actively engage with government ministers as well as Members of Parliament on legislation which affects our working conditions and position within the police service.
