The Federation is in talks with CNC and the Police Rehabilitation Centre, Flint House, to enable officers to attend their nearest treatment facility when they need support.
Darren Adams recently travelled to Goring-on-Thames to meet the CEO of Flint House, Julie Pink, and the Centre’s Clinical Director, Ian Barron, pictured. The visit provided an opportunity to tour the facilities, meet clinical staff and gain a detailed understanding of the services Flint House provides.
Darren said: “Giving officers access to Flint House alongside our existing arrangements with the Police Treatment Centres would significantly increase the treatment options available to members, particularly those based in the south.
“For someone dealing with a musculoskeletal injury, mental health difficulties, or simply the practicalities of travelling a significant distance for treatment, having access to a closer facility can make a real difference.
“As a Federation, we want our members to have the widest possible access to high-quality treatment and support, wherever they are based. We also recognise the wider benefit of supporting the whole CNC workforce and the wider policing family wherever possible. This isn’t about replacing what we already have; it’s about adding another option and making sure geography isn’t a barrier to getting the right help.”
